On Ground Sharenting with Bunda Romi & Kampoeng Hompimpa

many intelligences could be developed by Indonesian traditional games, such as kinesthetic, cognitive, visual, musical and other intelligences.

On Monday morning, 26th August 2018, a group of cheerful moms holding their children’s hand could be seen to come to a café in a part of the Jakarta city. They came to attend the Cap Lang Sharenting On Ground event.

Before the event was started, the children were excited to try the Indonesian traditional games, which had been prepared by the Kampoeng Hompimpa team. Some games arranged were wooden clogs, hopscotch, tops, etc. Not only children but also parents were enthusiastic to try such games. They must feel like going back to their childhood.

Then, the event was started and the speaker for this Sharenting On Ground event was Bunda Romi, a psychologist and the Chief Governing Officer of Permainan Asik Tanpa Gadget (Fun and No-Gadget Games) E-book. She clarified that many intelligences could be developed by Indonesian traditional games, such as kinesthetic, cognitive, visual, musical and other intelligences.

“For example is the “dragon-snake” game. It can develop children’s musical skill. Why? Because this game stimulates the children to sing, so they are automatically familiar with tones and bars by singing the “dragon-snake” song.” Bunda Romi explained.

“Stimulation and other educations for children are aiming for the children’s maximum growth and development. That’s why parents must be willing to get tired.”  Bunda Romi Said.
